Architect, Dendrologist, Landscape Architect

Neli Tsitsishvili studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts from 1926 to 1930 and at the Georgian Polytechnic Institute from 1930 to 1931. Later, in 1960, she graduated from the Institute of Subtropical Cultures in Sukhumi, Georgia. Tsitsishvili began working at the Greening Trust of the Tbilisi Executive Committee in 1928. From 1953 to 1973 she worked at “Tbilqalaqproekti,” and from 1973 until the end of her life she was the chief architect of the “Saksoplmshensakhproekti“.

Neli Tsitsishvili was an Honored Artist of Georgia, a member of the Union of Architects since 1948, head of the greening department and a member of the board. She was awarded the Silver Medal of the All-Union Exhibition of National Economy.
